In vivo Laborant

The perfect candidate: has completed vocational training in a biological or chemical laboratory field or brings substantial hands-on experience working with laboratory animals, along with at least two years of professional experience as a lab technician, veterinary nurse, animal technician, or in a comparable role. Ideally, they have completed a laboratory animal science course and are fluent in both English and German.

Description de la mission

Conducting of in vivo studies for rodents and rabbits in the area of toxicology and pharmacokinetic. The tasks include:
clinical scoring
taking blood
ability to dose by various routes (IP, IV, PO, Subcutaneous)
basic necropsy skills
Collect, document, review and varify data on forms or in electronic data capture systems
Participate as a team member study activities at the weekend on a rotational basis
Optional: Conduct or assist during surgical procedures including anesthesia and provide pre- and postoperative care according to best veterinary and animal welfare standards

Profil attendu pour l'emploi

You have completed training as an in vivo associate, biology laboratory assistant, or have relevant experience in laboratory work with laboratory animals
Work experience minimum 2 years in the field of animal laboratory work (rats and mice)
An accredited animal course (LTK or FELASA) is mandatory
Languages: Fluent in English
