“ […] We always try to conduct a face-to-face interview before placing anyone with an employer. This allows us to really get to know the person, ask the right questions and, above all, give them the space to ask questions themselves so they can get off to a good start.”  This initial meeting helps gain a better understanding of each individual’s background, expectations and goals. At the same time, it lays the foundations for the kind of trust-based, transparent relationship that forms the cornerstone of collaboration among Flexsis, candidates and partner companies.

Supporting people before, during and after placements

Our support doesn’t stop once a contract has been signed. Staff receive ongoing support at every stage of their placement, especially as far as admin is concerned.

“Our day-to-day mission is to support staff from the moment they register with Flexsis right through to the start of their assignment and throughout their journey with us,” explains Joanne Maillard, an administrative assistant at the agency. Many of people we work with come to us from outside Switzerland, and find themselves operating in a new professional and administrative environment. To help workers settle in, the team provides them with comprehensive support, particularly with applying for work permits and child benefit. It can also help them find accommodation or make arrangements for travelling to and from work.

As Joanne points out, job-hunting can be a minefield, which is why the agency is first and foremost a place for open dialogue: listening to our clients and supporting them takes precedence over paperwork.

When it comes to working with businesses, the agency’s solid practical expertise gives it the edge. Marcelo Almeida trained as an electrician before joining Flexsis as a consultant. He knows all about the value of real-world expertise:

This in-depth understanding of how the industry works means we can suggest candidates who are perfectly suited to each role. As Alexandre Da Silva points out, “Thanks to Marcelo’s hands-on experience, he quickly grasps the specific circumstances of each construction site, as well as the client’s technical requirements”.

Before we propose any candidate to an employer, we carry out a thorough assessment, including a full reference check. To reduce the risk of any problems and maintain complete transparency, we can also arrange an initial one-day trial to check the candidate’s suitability. “If the trial isn’t enough to seal the deal, it will be free of charge. There is no obligation for the client, and it takes all the pressure off”, explains Alexandre Da Silva.
